What to have ready
You do not need everything gathered before starting the application. But having these on hand makes the process faster:
- Your Social Security number
- Current employer name and address
- Approximate gross monthly income
- Estimated property value or purchase price
- Approximate loan amount you are seeking
- W-2 forms — past 2 years
- Pay stubs — last 15 days
- Bank statements — 2 months, all pages
- Federal tax returns (if self-employed or required by AUS)
- Government-issued photo ID
